The Erie Art Company invites all local artists working in any medium to submit to the opening show of the Erie Art Gallery at 24 W 8th Street, Erie, PA. The show is a representation of the art in Erie, no specific theme required.

Submissions should be submitted on:

Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1 PM – 4 PM
Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 1 PM – 4 PM

+ The gallery will be open 12 pm to 4 pm for artists to drop off their submissions and get a look at the space.

+ Please submit no more then 2 pieces unless you get approval

+ Sales are 70/30 ( 70% goes to artists)

The show will run from Saturday, January 27, 2018- February, 24, 2018. Art not picked up by March 10, 2018 will become the property of Erie Art Company. There will be an opening event  The opening event will be on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 6 pm- 10 pm.

  • The Erie Art Company has the right to refuse any art based on medium, subject matter, or stylistic choices.
  • Sculptures can only be 4 feet by 2.5 feet due to door size restrictions.
  • All wall pieces must be ready to hang. Gallery-Ready is a term used to describe artwork that is appropriately prepared to be received by an art gallery. All framed items as well as unframed stretched canvases MUST have appropriate hanging or display materials on the back. MUST NOT have a ”Foot” on the back of them. This causes the item to hang crooked.

All artist will  fill out this following information at drop off:

  1.       Name
  2.       Contact information
  3.       Size, Medium, Title
  4.       Price


Artwork not selected for the show, needs to be picked up by January 28.  Any artwork not picked up will become property of EAC.

Artist must sign a waiver form:

The Artist understands that the artwork is submitted to the Erie Art Company and exhibited at the Artist’s own risk and that neither the Erie Art Company nor any of its officers, agents, and volunteers shall be responsible for theft, vandalism, fire, or any other damages or losses to the artwork.
